More Than Ever

Also wrote this one some time over the last week. This one is one of the few that's actually inspired by real life events, mostly something that happened to me at the start of last year.

It’s kinda funny

how,

even when you know he

probably doesn’t even remember it,

you still hold it special

and want it back.

Especially now

that you’re

friends

again, and he’s moved on

but you haven’t.

And when he smiles

at you

and the corners of his mouth

turn down

in that way unique

to him:

You get a tingling

up and down

your body;

and your eyes unfocus

just for second.

And you need him now more than before.
